Frequently Asked Questions
Is Therapy/Assessment covered by Japanese Insurance?
No, Therapy and Assessments (including Diagnostic Assessments), are not currently covered by the Japanese Medical Insurance. However, some international Medical Insurances do cover the process, and if applicable, we will provide the necessary receipts in English or Japanese.
How long is each therapy session?
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long.
How many sessions are required for an Assessment?
The number of testing hours and sessions will depend on the Assessment Plan. As every plan is different and adjusted for the specific needs of each case, the total number will depend on what is needed. Some cases may require only one testing session, while others may need two or three.
The testing sessions will be scheduled with some flexibility to reduce their impact, but as testing is done during the week (mostly Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) it may be necessary to miss one day of school or work. We can provide a letter of explanation to justify the attendance if requested.
Do you offer online sessions?
We offer both in-person and online sessions for Therapy. Assessments require at least one in-person session.
All services are only available upon appointment. Please let us know your preference when you make an appointment.
